Evidence Collection, Analysis, and Sharing

Since the major socio-political shifts in 2021, ASJ has prioritized monitoring and recording impacts on communities across Myanmar. We have collected detailed testimonies and reports from affected individuals and witnesses across all regions, including Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Tanintharyi, Chin, Kayin, and Kayah. This extensive body of evidence is pivotal for supporting efforts toward justice and accountability for all citizens.

Our approach is grounded in direct and confidential engagement with affected individuals. Through in-depth interviews, we capture their experiences and the challenges they have endured. This evidence is critical for raising awareness, supporting formal mechanisms for justice, and advocating for social equity on both national and international stages.

We adhere to stringent protocols for data sharing, ensuring that our information is exclusively provided to qualified legal and judicial authorities involved in formal proceedings. To protect the security and safety of our interviewees and to honor our commitments to confidentiality, we do not release our data publicly. However, we may selectively share certain elements of our findings to encourage more affected individuals to come forward and share their experiences, thereby amplifying the call for justice and community well-being.
